What a milestone! Working with businesses in the South-East of Ireland to the whole island of Ireland, and even a few across Europe & Asia. For 25 years we’ve been building relationships, growing the team and helping our clients.
Our Founder & CEO, Gavin Dixon, had the following to say:
“When I started BITS back in 2001 as a ‘man in a van’, I could never have imagined how the business would grow and evolve over the years. What began as a small, hands-on operation has developed into a trusted IT partner for organisations across the region and it’s a journey I’m immensely proud of.
Along the way, BITS has continued to adapt to an ever-changing technology landscape. Over the last 25 years, we’ve navigated major shifts in the IT world from traditional on-premise systems, to the rise of cloud services, an increasing focus on cyber security, and more recently, the emergence of AI. Each new wave of change has brought its own challenges and opportunities, and our focus has always been on helping our clients make practical, confident decisions about technology.
Another milestone in our journey came in 2019 when Paul Byrne joined the business as Managing Director and shareholder, allowing me to move into a more strategic role as CEO. That marked another important step in our evolution, enabling us to further strengthen our leadership, grow our team, and continue investing in the services we provide. Since then, BITS has continued to grow steadily, supported by a talented team who share a commitment to excellence, trust and long-term partnerships.
Reaching 25 years wouldn’t be possible without our clients, many of whom have been with us for a significant part of that journey. Their trust and continued support have played a huge role in shaping who we are today. I’m also incredibly proud of our team whose dedication, professionalism and expertise have been central to our success.
As we celebrate this milestone, we’re not just looking back — we’re looking forward. Technology will continue to evolve, and so will BITS. Our commitment remains unchanged: to work closely with our clients, to support their businesses, and to help them grow with confidence in an increasingly digital world.
