Wireless Networking

BITS can supply a Wireless Solution to suit every need (new build, upgrade, re-purpose) and every organisation type (business, healthcare, education, etc.). Each Wireless network is different so we carry out a site survey to ensure the best coverage based on the environment where the network is being set up. The 2 main types of wireless network solutions that we provide are:

• Internal Wireless Solutions: Advances in hand-held technologies (including Smart Devices) means that having a fast, secure and reliable wireless network is critical for many organisations. From those who provide Wi-Fi to their end users (such as Hotels, Schools, etc.) to those businesses who provide their staff with Wi-Fi to carry out their work, BITS can provide an end-to-end solution.

• External Wireless Links: For organisations that have multiple buildings and wish to link those buildings, or wish to provide wireless signals external to their building(s), BITS can install External Wireless Links and Access Points that will allow for high-speed, reliable data flow between buildings and also between buildings and external areas.

At the core of our Wireless Solutions is design. We offer a Wi-Fi design service that will ensure a “best fit” solution in terms of the access points you need to give the best coverage possible for your organisation’s specific needs. That design is based in part on your current requirements and physical infrastructure. You may have out-of-date switches that are incompatible with more modern standards. You may have black spots that need to be eliminated. You may require different security levels for different users, e.g., a hotel’s staff versus its guests.

We also take into account your potential future changes. Such changes can include an increased number of wireless clients and/or wider use of internet bandwidth for such uses as VoIP.
