At BITS we provide a variety of traditional and VoIP phone system solutions to clients across many sectors and sizes. (VoIP stands for “Voice over IP” and is a technology that facilitates voice calls over the Internet. You can read about our VoIP solutions here.

Our solutions need to vary because our clients’ requirements and infrastructures vary.
If your business does not have a good internet connection, we can provide you with a non-VoIP phone system using a traditional PBX (private branch exchange). A PBX allows people in the building to talk to each other over traditional phone lines while also allowing all users access to a limited number of external phone lines.

However, even if you do have a good internet connection, a full VoIP solution might still not be optimal. Imagine, for instance, if you have a large number of employees at your location, all needing to regularly make internal calls to colleagues. If all those calls are being routed over the internet, there is a lot of (data) traffic being added to your already busy network. It might be best to utilise a hybrid solution where a traditional PBX is used to handle internal calls while external calls use VoIP.
