Bookkeeper/Accounts Professional

JOB OVERVIEW

We have an exciting new opening for a Bookkeeper/Accounts Professional to join our Finance Team. This is a full-time role based at the Company’s offices in Kilkenny.

Reporting to the Managing Director, and a key part of the Finance Team, the Bookkeeper/Accounts Professional will be responsible for the day-to-day processing of accounting information. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of this growing business.  BITS are going from strength to strength in the MSP space and this person will be part of that journey and growth also.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Day to day processing of accounting information including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Acting as a point of contact for all supplier queries
  • Supporting the online payment process
  • Daily post and processing
  • Manage supplier payments
  • Managing weekly supplier invoices, receipts & payments
  • Dealing with supplier payments
  • Creditor reconciliation
  • Raising queries and credit requests with suppliers
  • Monthly sales invoicing, standing charges and renewals via ConnectWise and QuickBooks online
  • Preparing and issuing sales invoices
  • Dealing with customer/supplier queries
  • Bank reconciliations via QuickBooks and online banking
  • Credit Card processing and statement checking
  • Assisting sales team with customer queries
  • Various ad-hoc duties and reports

ABOUT YOU

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a bookkeeping position
  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks online or an equivalent accounting package such as Xero, Sage, etc. (min 2 years)
  • Be proficient in MS Office, especially Excel (min 3-year experience)
  • Excellent customer service skills, ability to put the customer at the heart of all decision making ensuring quality care is all a priority
  • Excellent attention to detail – continually checking work to ensure delivery of the highest quality
  • Have the ability to manage a number of tasks/projects at the same time
  • Have a “can-do” attitude as the role will involve ad hoc projects as and when they arise
  • Have the ability to meet weekly, monthly and quarterly deadlines
  • Have excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Have strong organisational skills
  • Be familiar with ConnectWise – this is not essential but a distinct advantage
